Our History
In October 2018, Dr. Aruna Medara’s vision of creating a holistic yoga center became a reality. She founded a community space where people could come together to learn, practice, and embrace the ancient healing tradition of yoga. Even during the challenges of COVID-19 in 2020, our students continued to show up, united by a shared commitment to wellness and mindfulness.
At Holistic Yoga Hernando, we believe that yoga is more than a physical practice. We integrate body, breath, mind, and spirit in every class, offering a holistic approach that supports overall well-being. Our doors are open to everyone—from beginners to advanced practitioners—seven days a week.
As of January 2026, Holistic Yoga Hernando became a non-profit studio.

I’m Helena Taiclet – I have been practicing martial arts and Yoga since the age of 15, in 2022 I decided to join the community of yoga teaching and group class instructor, seeking for a meaningful impact and driven by a yoga and body movement passion of many years! The time on the mat brought me physical, mental, and emotional benefits, igniting a deeper connection with the self and focusing on all that our bodies can do more than what they can not, to build a community of peace and positive change!
With every practice I seek to empower people to cultivate greater body awareness, confidence, and inner peace.
